Vitamin B12 for use in animal feed production process

Lutavit® B12 1% is suitable as a supplement for all types of feed. Smooth processing and homogeneous dispersion in mineral and mixed feeds are shown. Vitamin B12 is relatively stable to heat and air, but sensitive to light. Storage protected from light is therefore recommended.

Physiological importance:

Vitamin B12 is of importance for growth, hematopoesis and for various metabolic processes, in particular for protein metabolism. It is thus involved in the synthesis of several amino acids. In ruminants, this vitamin has great importance for the utilization of the propionic acid formed in the rumen, since it is a constituent of a co enzyme which is important for this purpose.
