Effect pigments: MultiReflections® for soft sparkle effects |

Three new MultiReflections Soft Sparkle pigments are now available for manufacturers wishing to add extremely subtle iridescent colors to color cosmetics and personal care products such as eye shadow, lipstick, skin care and hair styling products. BASF’s effect pigments are based on natural mica obtained from BASF's own mine in the USA. The new effect pigments stand out due to their controlled color travel effect in which the color space covered by the pigments extends across two adjacent color quadrants. The result is formulations with depth and a special luminescence and radiance. The particle size of 14 to 90 microns results in an extremely subtle optical color change that takes place in a very narrow color travel range. The effect is a sophisticated light sparkle that creates intrigue and splendor. The pigments are easily dispersible and offer a silky skin feel, in that way improving the aesthetic properties of cosmetic products. |
